Pack Attack (1-0) vs HHH (0-1)
Round two of the brother battles and this one has gotten away from me lately. The all-time numbers still favor Pack Attack, who lead the series 15-9 across 24 regular season meetings and hold a scoring edge of nearly 12 a game at 119.57 to 107.69. And yet HHH has won three straight, including a 139.81 to 124.56 win a year ago! So the history book and the recent history are telling two completely different stories. HHH also arrives in the worst mood in the league after losing by 1.28 points last week with J Love (21.34) parked on their bench behind J Herbert (10.11). Flip those two and they win comfortably. Well, guess what they did this week? J Love is in the lineup and J Herbert is on the bench! Lesson learned, and about a week too late. And it gets worse for me from there. Yahoo projects Pack Attack for 98.55 this week, dead last out of all fourteen teams, and the KFFL AI is no kinder, making HHH a 72.8% favorite. That is the most lopsided number on the entire board this week and it is pointed directly at my own team. Wonderful.
Prediction:
I don't pick my own games so once again this one goes to the KFFL AI, and this week it has no interest in being polite about it. HHH at 72.8%. The reasoning is not hard to follow either: they have won three straight in this series, they outscored Pack Attack last week and still lost, and their lineup has T McBride (12.02), M Nabers (11.23) and D Montgomery (11.81) all projecting ahead of anything Pack Attack puts out there beyond L Jackson and P Nacua. Add in that they have finally moved J Love into the lineup and it is a tidy little case. The counterargument is that L Jackson (17.06) against New Orleans is one of the best spots on the board and that a 15-9 all-time edge does not evaporate in a season. But I am not the one picking. HHH takes it, and I will be delighted to print the correction next Tuesday.
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 24
- Record: Advantage Pack Attack at 15-9
- PPG Avg: Advantage Pack Attack 119.57 to 107.69
- Current Streak: HHH W3
- Last Meeting: 2025 — HHH 139.81, Pack Attack 124.56
- Playoff Meetings: 2 (split 1-1)
16hrs Ahead of You!! (0-1) vs BIGBOY! (1-0) — GAME OF THE WEEK
This is the biggest game on the board and it isn't particularly close. This one result is worth roughly 28 points of playoff probability to both teams. 16hrs sits at 50.8% to make the playoffs if they win and 24.3% if they lose. BIGBOY! goes from 64.1% down to 34.1%. In week two!
And look at how these two got here. Last week 16hrs went 11-2 against the field, meaning they would have beaten eleven of the other thirteen teams, and they lost. BIGBOY! went 2-11 against the field and won. The unluckiest team in the league against the luckiest, in the game that matters most, and neither of them had any say in it. Yahoo now projects 16hrs for 120.11, the highest total of any team this week, which tells you the roster is fine and the schedule simply hated them.
The problem for 16hrs is that this particular matchup has been a wall. BIGBOY! leads it 12-5 and outscores them by 17 a game, and has beaten them twice in the postseason including as recently as 2024. BIGBOY! is also 1-0 and quietly working on a three-peat nobody in 22 seasons of this league has ever managed.
And this one starts early, because J Gibbs is projected for 23.58 tonight — the highest projection of any player in the league this week — with D Kincaid in that same Buffalo game. 16hrs could be sitting on 30 points before anybody else has played a snap. There is also a wonderful little war inside the Chicago game, where 16hrs has C Williams, R Odunze and W Reichard all pointed at Minnesota while BIGBOY! counters with J Jefferson. Whatever happens in that one, it happens to both of them at the same time. Yahoo makes 16hrs a 60% favorite at 120.11 to 109.15, and the KFFL AI is even firmer at 72.7%. Which is a strange thing to say about the team that lost last week, but that is what happens when you score the second most points in the league and get nothing for it.
Prediction:
So who wins? This 16hrs team is looking tough and suddenly the guy no one wanted in the draft in Bucky Irving even looks solid! I like Mayfield to have a nice bounce back game and Jefferson should be solid once again for BIGBOY! but outside of that I don't love much else for them. 16hrs has the ultimate weapon in Gibbs and even that 23.58 point projection might be low! I expect bounce back games from Pickens and Smith. I like 16hrs to get the win and hand BIGBOY! their first loss of the season.
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 17
- Record: Advantage BIGBOY! at 12-5
- PPG Avg: Advantage BIGBOY! 116.52 to 99.59
- Current Streak: BIGBOY! W2
- Last Meeting: 2025 — BIGBOY! 97.36, 16hrs 86.47
- Playoff Meetings: 2 (BIGBOY! leads 2-0)
Big Papa (1-0) vs Sportsfreak (0-1)
The father and son game, and the timing on this one is rough. Sportsfreak is coming off 61.05 points, the lowest they have scored in twenty years, in a brother battle they had been hearing about all preseason. Now they get Dad. Big Papa is 1-0 after winning the 1.28 point thriller and has every reason to feel good. But the series says otherwise, because Sportsfreak leads it 14-11 and outscores Big Papa 116.00 to 110.02, and the last meeting was a 138.8 to 71.7 demolition. Big Papa's one real claim here is the postseason, where they beat Sportsfreak back in 2008 in their only playoff meeting. And here is where it gets interesting: Sportsfreak sits dead last in the league at 14th after that 61.05, and both Yahoo and the KFFL AI still make them the favorite here, at 109.50 to 108.59 and 51.7% respectively. Which is a very long way of saying nobody has the faintest idea.
Somebody should also tell Big Papa what happened to HHH last week, because they have C.J. Stroud projected for 16.94 sitting on their bench while J Goff (14.81) starts. We just watched a team lose by 1.28 doing exactly that. Big Papa does get Goff and A Hutchinson going tonight in Buffalo, so they will be on the board early, while Sportsfreak has J Daniels and T McLaurin stacked together at Dallas on Sunday afternoon and B Corum in the Monday night game.
Prediction:
Big Papa got a crazy good game from J Coker (31.90). Was that a sign of things to come in the Carolina WR room? Kind of a fun way to find out this week as Sportsfreak has the guy on who is supposed to be the top WR in Carolina (T McMillan). I like both Saquon and O Hampton to have much better week 2 games then they did last week. Also, after putting up 0 points in Week 1 I expect Loveland to be busy early in the divisional game against MN. I would expect him to get a catch in that opening drive (maybe even the first play) so he should have a nice week 2. I could see this one going either way however I can't unsee that 61 point dud that Sportsfreak put up last week so I am going with Big Papa to get the win and Sportsfreak to start out the season 0-2 against Lindgrens!
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 25
- Record: Advantage Sportsfreak at 14-11
- PPG Avg: Advantage Sportsfreak 116.00 to 110.02
- Current Streak: Sportsfreak W1
- Last Meeting: 2025 — Sportsfreak 138.8, Big Papa 71.7
- Playoff Meetings: 1 (Big Papa leads 1-0)
Bossman (1-0) vs U Don't Know (1-0)
The only game this week between two teams that are both 1-0. U Don't Know arrives off the biggest number anybody has posted this season, that 181.51 they dropped on 16hrs, and they did it with three players going for 98 combined. Bossman looked every bit like a team annoyed about missing the playoffs last year, winning by 31 despite Burrow giving them 10.41. The all-time series belongs to Bossman at 12-7 with a scoring edge of better than 15 a game, but U Don't Know has taken the last two including their only playoff meeting back in 2020. The KFFL AI has U Don't Know winning this one at 74.8%, the firmest number of the week outside my own matchup, and Yahoo agrees with them at 62%.
It all starts tonight as U Don't Know has J Allen (21.10) on one sideline in Buffalo and A St. Brown (14.38) on the other, which is about 35 projected points on the board before Bossman really gets going. Bossman's only piece in that game is their kicker. They do get a fun one of their own on Sunday night though, with T Kelce for Kansas City and K Allen for Indianapolis in the same game. So who comes out on top?
Prediction: This is another fun one! Burrow / Henry / JSN are the trio that we will likely be talking about each week as it pertains to Bossman. If they struggle this team will likely struggle. That can be said for a lot of teams in a deep league but when you are starting a D player as your third WR I think you are lacking some depth. U Don't Know has J Allen and he fixes a lot of wrongs. He has a dream matchup tonight against Detroit and as mentioned also A St Brown. I think U Don't Know has a couple more guys I trust this week so I am going go with U Don't Know to get the win and remain undefeated.
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 19
- Record: Advantage Bossman at 12-7
- PPG Avg: Advantage Bossman 126.51 to 111.27
- Current Streak: U Don't Know W2
- Last Meeting: 2025 — U Don't Know 82.92, Bossman 75.53
- Playoff Meetings: 1 (U Don't Know leads 1-0)
DaUnderdog (0-1) vs Rapids Plungers (1-0)
Rapids Plungers is the most convincing team in the league through one week. They put up 154.91, they have the #2 overall pick producing, and they are the same outfit that rode the #1 seed to the Super Bowl last season. The series backs it up too, as they lead DaUnderdog 14-6 and outscore them by 14 a game. So why is this interesting? Because the last time these two met, DaUnderdog won 110.27 to 52.79. Fifty two points! Rapids Plungers has also lost two straight in this matchup despite owning it historically. DaUnderdog comes in 0-1 after a week where B Bowers handed them a zero at tight end (yes he was still starting), and Bowers is questionable again this week, which is exactly what they needed. The KFFL AI says Rapids Plungers 59.9% to win, though Yahoo is cooler on it at 53%.
The fun part is that both of these teams have hitched themselves to the same football team. DaUnderdog's best player is C McCaffrey (17.64) and Rapids Plungers' quarterback is B Purdy (17.53), and those two are teammates in San Francisco playing the same game against Miami. Rapids Plungers also has G Dulcich on the Miami side of it. Should be a fun one!
Prediction: DaUnderdog will be hoping McCaffery goes back to his usual 30+ point self but that may be hard and not because the matchup is difficult but because they just may not need him to be great in a game they are heavy favorites. A Jones gets a bump as he should get most of the backfield work now. If Bowers is back this team would look so much better! Bijan should have a monster game this week for Rapids and I think that they have enough pieces around him that I like them to get the win because I am not convinced Bowers plays. If he does, it wouldn't shock me to see DaUnderdog win but for now I am going with Rapids Plungers to stay undefeated.
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 20
- Record: Advantage Rapids Plungers at 14-6
- PPG Avg: Advantage Rapids Plungers 124.24 to 110.29
- Current Streak: DaUnderdog W2
- Last Meeting: 2025 — DaUnderdog 110.27, Rapids Plungers 52.79
pack slayer (0-1) vs Starrfavrerodg (0-1)
Two 0-1 teams, and one of them has a real grievance. pack slayer scored 131.55 last week, which went 10-3 against the field, and lost by 23 anyway. They had the highest scoring player in the entire league in K Walker at 37.43 and D Swift right behind him at 32.77, and then their quarterback scored 1.03. Starrfavrerodg meanwhile lost to a teamAlaska team that had lost five of seven to them, which is its own kind of annoying. The series is short but one-sided, with pack slayer up 5-2 and taking the last meeting 135.22 to 93.05. This is the lowest leverage game on the board at 22.6 points of swing, and the KFFL AI cannot separate them at all, giving pack slayer the barest edge at 50.2%. For two teams that would both be 1-0 with slightly better luck, a coin flip feels about right.
And yes, M Stafford is back in the pack slayer lineup, projected for 16.09 after handing them 1.03 last week. He goes Monday night, so if that one goes sideways again they will have all weekend to think about it. Starrfavrerodg meanwhile will be rolling with their Packers trio of C Watson, T Kraft and T Smack all in the same game at the Jets. I gave them grief about that last week and then C Watson went for 30.35, so I am saying nothing this time. The two of them also share tonight's game in Buffalo, pack slayer with DJ Moore and Starrfavrerodg with J Cook, and they share the Monday night Rams game three ways. This one will be decided at both ends of the weekend and almost nowhere in between.
Prediction: It's week 2 so I am not sure what to think about some of the things I saw last week. The one thing that I believe has staying power is K Walker. He could turn out to be in that conversation with J Gibbs and B Robinson by the end of the season. I am hearing there is a chance for some heavy rain for the Jets vs Packers game so having two pass catchers and a kicker in that game is not ideal for Starrfavrerodg. Pack slayer has a lot of guys with the Q tag right now and the biggest one of those being N Collins who anytime you hear hamstring it has to have you concerned. This is a tough one but I am going to go with pack slayer to get the win in a close one!
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 7
- Record: Advantage pack slayer at 5-2
- PPG Avg: Advantage pack slayer 117.95 to 112.79
- Current Streak: pack slayer W1
- Last Meeting: 2025 — pack slayer 135.22, Starrfavrerodg 93.05
PackerFANatic7 (0-1) vs teamAlaska (1-0)
PackerFANatic7 needs this one badly. They are 0-1 after a week where their highest scoring starter was their kicker, and the KFFL AI has them near the bottom of the playoff picture. The good news is they have owned this particular matchup, winning the last two and outscoring teamAlaska 121.95 to 115.49 all time, including a 171.02 to 80.5 beating a year ago. That is the second highest score anybody in this league put up all last season. teamAlaska is 1-0 and coming off a win that broke Starrfavrerodg's hold on them, and they are still the underdog here. Yahoo makes PackerFANatic7 a 56% favorite and the KFFL AI goes further at 61.1%, which is a strange thing to say about the 13th place team against the 4th, but that is where we are.
PackerFANatic7 has put all their chips on Dallas, with D Prescott (19.08) and C Lamb (14.05) in the same Sunday afternoon game against Washington. That is 33 projected points out of one football game and the highest quarterback projection in the league this week. teamAlaska is spread much thinner and has lost A.J. Brown to injured reserve, which takes one of the four names I said would make or break them out of the lineup entirely. They do have three players in the Seattle game at Arizona, so they will find out about their afternoon all at once. The all-time series is teamAlaska 5-4, so genuinely nothing separates these two.
Prediction: teamAlaska was led by Z Flowers last week but I am not convinced he plays this week and that would be a big blow for them! The only bit of good news is that PackerFANatic7 also may be without one of their best WR's in L McConkey who appears 50/50 at best to play. Prescott and Lamb should have a nice day against Washington L Burden probably puts up better #'s this week. I expect a really strong performance from J Price this week for teamAlaska however I don't think it will be enough as I have PackerFANatic7 getting the win!
Historical Look at this Match-Up:
- Regular Season Match-ups: 9
- Record: Advantage teamAlaska at 5-4
- PPG Avg: Advantage PackerFANatic7 121.95 to 115.49
- Current Streak: PackerFANatic7 W2
- Last Meeting: 2025 — PackerFANatic7 171.02, teamAlaska 80.5
